Threading
THREADING is technique of hair removal that originated in India and the Middle east. It has become increasing popular in the western countries in recent years, especially for eyebrow shaping but also for all facial hair removal. It llows for a more defined and precise shape and can create better definition for eyebrows.
Our technicians have years of experience in this fine art and work to a very high skill level. In threading, a thin cotton or polyester thread is doubled then twisted and rolled over areas of unwanted hair, removing the hairs from the very root. Unlike tweezing, where single hairs are pulled out one at a time, threading can remove short rows of hair, and is therefore quicker.
Advantages of eyebrow threading, as opposed to eyebrow waxing, include that it provides more precise control in shaping eyebrows, and that it is gentler on the skin therefore ideal for those who don’t get along with wax.
Threading is not a good method for removing hair on arms or legs, as the hair in those regions is typically quite coarse and there is too much to remove. In these areas wax is more appropriate.
